Karakter Fenotipik Tanaman Padi Beras Hitam (Oryza sativa L.) Varietas Wojalaka Hasil Induksi Dengan Kolkisin

Black rice varieties of Wojalaka has been reported to have superior of fast flowering and harvest time. However, it has a low phenotype, productivity, and anthocyanin character compared to other black rice varieties. One effort that can be done is by using the plant breeding colchicine. Colchicine is one of the reagents for the mutation that causes polyploid, the organism has three or more sets of chromosomes in polyploid cells. The objective of this research was to determine the differences in phenotypic characters induction results colchicine with the control and to determine the concentration of the most optimal colchicine’s solution influence on the phenotypic of black rice Wojalaka plants the induction colchicine. The research was carried out experimentally using a randomized block design with one treatment factor is the concentration of a solution that includes 5 colchicine concentrations, ie 0%, 5%, 10d%, 15%, and 20%. Data include plant height, stem diameter, number of tillers per clump, length and width of leaves length and width of stomata. The data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA and Duncan test. From this study, it could be concluded that there are differences in the character phenotypic of the black rice Wojalaka induction results colchicine with control. The concentration of 10% and 15% Colchicine give optimal results on the stem diameter, a number of tillers per clump, length and width of leaves, and increasing of stomata size black rice varieties of Wojalaka.
