Watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris) is a plant with a water content of up to 92%, 7% carbohydrates, and the rest are vitamins. Climatic conditions significantly affect watermelon plants' growth; therefore, watermelon plant production is currently less stable. Observations were made to know the watermelon seedling technique located in Simpang Tais Village, starting from land preparation to harvesting watermelons. There are 2 types of watermelon, namely non-seed watermelon and inul watermelon, which are then mated to produce red, non-seed watermelon with good quality. The method was carried out quantitatively, namely observing the growth of watermelon seeds in a field survey carried out on 19-23 October 2020. The tools and materials used were non-seed watermelon seeds and inul watermelon seeds, small polybags, manure and organic fertilizers (poska, pearl), hoe, main hose, mulch medium, water, transparent plastic. Cultivation of watermelons can be done by preparing the land, planting seeds into small polybags, seeding, transferring the seeds to the mounds, treating them with organic fertilizers and manure, and watering them with a main hose and give a grip branch so that water flows into each roll. Pollination is carried out and watermelons aged 2 months and 10 days are ready to be harvested. The factors that affect watermelon plants are internal factors (genetics, hormones, nutrients/ nutrients) and external factors (sunlight, rainfall, altitude/ masl, and temperature).
