The long-tailed macaque (Machaca fascicular is) is a type of monkey that has a tail length approximately the same as its body length.  The body length of the long-tailed macaque (Machaca fascicular is) ranges from 385-648 mm.  The length of the tail in females is between 400-655 mm.  The body weight of an adult male is around 3.5-8 kg while the average body weight of an adult female is around 3 kg.  The body color varies from gray to brownish, with the ventral part being white.  The long-tailed macaque (Machaca fascicular is) is a social primate which in its life cannot be separated from social interaction or living together with other animals.  This study aims to observe the daily behavior of female long-tailed macaque (Machaca fascicular is) in the Ponti Kayo Nature Park, Palembang, South Sumatra by using the scan sampling method which is observed at 09.00-16.00 WIB except at 12.00-13.00 WIB for 8 days by recording every 5 minutes.  The results showed that the activities of female long-tailed macaque (Machaca fascicular is) were eating (8%), social (3,2%), drinking (3,2%), resting (21,6%), moving (19,2%), breastfeeding (7,2%), climbing (7,2%), caring for children.  (9,6%), interaction (2,4%) and looking for ticks (18,4%).  The behavior most often performed by female long-tailed macaque (machaca fascicular is) is rest, which is 21,6%.
