Studi Proses Mekanisme Pengontrolan Sintesis Lipid

Lipid synthesis occurs due to the collaboration of enzymes, binding proteins, and receptors. This article aimed to study the mechanisms involved in lipid regulation. From the results of the literature study, this lipid mechanism could be a short or long term. When a certain lipid concentration is high in the body, it inhibits the rate limiting enzymes involved in its synthesis in the feedback mechanism thereby limiting the rate of synthesis. Lipid synthesis can also be controlled via negative feedback mechanisms. This is a situation where the product, when within a certain level, decreases the activity of the enzymes involved in its synthesis, especially the rate limiting enzymes. Diet also plays a major role in this regulation. When foods are rich in certain lipids, their synthesis is inhibited. Several hormones have been reported to regulate lipid synthesis. Rate limiting enzyme transcription also plays a role in the regulation of lipid synthesis. This mechanism involves several transcription factors. Lipid synthesis is well coordinated and regulated.
