Pengamatan Faktor Fisik dan Kimia pada Lahan Basah di Jakabaring Kota Palembang

practicum was conducted to determine the physical and chemical factors on tidal land in Jakabaring. This research was carried out on Thursday-Friday 17-18 June 2021, carried out in the field and laboratory of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Parameters analyzed in this study were horizon layer, pH, soil temperature, soil morphological characteristics (soil structure, soil texture, soil size, soil shape), soil moisture content test and soil porosity test and soil color. The soil used in this study is rice field land, classified as clay soil because of its smooth texture. The horizon layer on the soil has two layers, the first is the tillage layer (Apg). A thin oxidized layer (1–2 mm), on the soil surface directly below the puddle. The second is the Apg2 layer, the reduced layer below the oxidation layer called reversal gley, inverted gley and surface pseudo gley. The soil pH is 4.77 and the temperature is 32.3℃. Generally, paddy soils have a pH close to neutral, but in this case the pH is lower due to oxidation. Then in the calculation of porosity at 3 repetitions of 62%, 65% and 54%, the soil material is fine grained.
