Selection of outstanding students is an activity to select and determine students who excel in a university. This activity is carried out in stages starting from the level of study programs, faculties, universities, to national and even international levels. Outstanding students can raise the name and position of the students themselves and their colleges. In the selection process, the selection of outstanding students requires criteria such as: GPA, Achievements, Talent, Scientific Work, and ability in foreign languages. To conduct the selection of outstanding students, a system is needed, namely a decision support system in order to solve these problems. Decision support system is part of a computer-based and knowledge-based information system that is used to support and assist decision-making by leaders in organizations, institutions and companies. This study aims to design and build a decision support system for selecting outstanding students at IAIQ Al-Ittifaqiah Indralaya. The method used in this study is the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method. Where is the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method that will be used in ranking. By using this method, it is expected to be able to design and build an effective and targeted decision support system application.
