Penetapan Kadar Siklamat Dalam Minuman Ringan Menggunakan Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi

Food additives are mainly used to maintain the quality and consistency of food and improving its taste and flavor. One of the food additives  that is  widely used  is cyclamate which is used as an artificial  sweetener that is able to provide sweetness to food when consumed. The use of cyclamates in high doses can cause cancer, and other diseases such as liver, lung and lymph tumors. This study aims to determine the cyclamate content  in soft drinks. The analysis method used is an experiment by analyzing 4 samples of soft drinks  using the HPLC instrument. The test results and calculations showed that three samples are positive for containing cyclamate, with concentration of 19.23 mg / kg, 377.07 mg / kg and 1196.03 mg / kg. From the determination of the cyclamate content, it shows that there are 2 samples that do not meet the standards of BPOM Regulation N0.11 of 2019, which stated that the maximum use of cyclamate in soft drinks is 350 mg/kg.
