Garbage is an item that is considered to be unused and disposed of by the previous owner or user, but for some people it can still be used if managed with the right procedure. Garbage is a chemical, energy or living thing that has no use value and tends to damage. The process of continuous landfill in the final landfill area (TPA) produces pollutants in the form of waste and leachate. Lead contentin waste and leachate can easily spread following the movement of water flow. Lead Metal belongs to a group of metals that are toxic and harmful to the life of living things. This study uses qualitative analysis to find out leachate water from TPA II in the Karya Jaya Musi 2 village in Palembang containing lead or not. Leachate samples taken directly from the landfill site were reacted with HCl, NaOH, and H2SO4. The results obtained are samples reacted with positive NaOH containing lead characterized by the formation of white precipitate.
