Identifikasi Kafein Dalam Jamu Penambah Stamina Pria Sediaan Padat Secara Klt-Densitometri

Traditional medicine, which we know as ingredients or ingredients derived from plant materials, which are used for generations for treatment. Traditional medicine or herbal medicine is one of the medicinal preparations that are not allowed to contain medicinal chemicals (BKO). One of the BKOs allegedly added to herbal medicine with claims of efficacy to increase male stamina is caffeine, caffeine is a xanthine derivative that has the effect of being a stimulant to the central nervous system and the heart, which can relax smooth muscles and increase diuresis. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence of medicinal chemicals (BKO) caffeine in herbal medicine which is claimed to be effective as an increase in male stamina. The identification method of caffeine in this solid dosage form of herbal medicine to increase male stamina uses the TLC-DENSITOMETRY method with eluent A: Chloroform-methanol (90: 10) Eluene B: Dichloromethane – methanol-glacial acetic acid (90:10:1) and continued to spectrophotodensitometry to view the peaks of Raw, spike and sample Wavelengths. The identification results showed that the identified drug samples showed negative results in samples 06 of eluents A and B marked with spots and different wavelengths from the standard and spikes, while sample 11 showed positive results because the spots and wavelengths were the same as those of the standard and spike. The conclusion of this study is that sample 06 was negative for caffeine, while sample 11 was positive for caffeine.
