Fitoremediasi Tanaman Apu-Apu (Pistia Stratiotes) Terhadap Penurunan Kadar Fenol, Amonia, Dan COD Limbah Inlet Kilang Minyak

The refinery industry produces liquid waste that contains pollutants. Waste is generated from the oil production process and processed in Primary Effluent Treatment-Secondary Effluent Treatment (PET-SET). Apu-apu plants (Pistia Stratiotes) can be used as another alternative to reduce the pollutant content in the waste. This study aims to reduce pollutants in waste using apu-apu plants. The method used in this research is phytoremediation using apu-apu plants and measuring the reduction in levels of phenol, ammonia, COD and changes in pH in the waste. The results obtained were the levels of phenol decreased by 14.2%, ammonia 26.5%, COD 27.96% and pH 4.2%. The results showed that phytoremediation using apu-apu plants could reduce pollutant levels in liquid waste originating from the oil refinery industry.
