Optimalisasi Kualitas Mikroorganisme Lokal (MOL) Berbasis Limbah Tanaman Jagung Sebagai Bioaktivator Fermentasi Pakan Ternak Domba

The study was to optimize the potential of corn plant waste against local microorganisms (MOL) as a bioactivator for sheep feed. This research was conducted in Tanjung Gusta, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency. This study used MOL from the rumen of cattle and molasses as control and addition corn plant waste (leaves, stems and cobs) as treatments. Parameters observed morphological characteristics of microbes, number of microbial colonies and pH value. The results of morphological observations found as many as 12 types of bacterial isolates and the highest number of bacterial populations in the treatment with the addition of 1% level of corn plant waste with a total of 25 x 10-9 cfu/ml. The most optimal pH value at the 1% level with value 6,0. The addition of corn plant waste at a level of 1% increases the type of bacteria, the number of bacterial colonies and optimizes the pH value so it has the potential to improve the quality of local microorganism (MOL) for sheep feed.
