State Transition dan Equivalence Partitioning Testing pada Pengujian Sistem Informasi Pengarsipan (Studi Kasus: Diskominfo-SP Lahat)

An archiving information system is a system that can facilitate the management of incoming and outgoing mail in an organization both in accessing, writing, and archiving letters. In its application, archiving information systems need to be tested to determine quality and identify interface errors, data models, and access to external data sources. One technique that can be implemented for system testing is black box testing. In this study, the black box techniques  used were State Transition and Equivalence Partitioning Testing.  State Transition is  a way to define state and transition based on system  rules or requirements,  this technique is very suitable for testing input and dividing input into groups based on function, so  the State Transition technique is   used to test the menus contained in the system. While Equivalence Partitioning serves to check the type and condition of input that exists in the system, namely whether it is valid or invalid. This technique is used to test the registration form, login, input, and change data in the archiving information system. The application of these two black box techniques  gives the result that the information system is good and feasible to use, it's just that there are some failures, namely not being able to export and print data filtered by date.
