Recording of incoming and outgoing mail archives at TVRI South Sumatra is still done manually, which is recorded in a ledger and then stored in a storage cupboard. However, the stored letter archives are sometimes often lost because the borrowed letters are not recorded by the officers. Records play an important role in an organization or company and are used to support the company's administrative or operational processes. If the archives are not properly managed, it can cause difficulties in finding information that has been stored and in the end can hinder the process of further work. Therefore, archives must be managed with a good and correct records management system. In this study, the method used is the waterfall, which is also called the sequential linear model or classic life cycle. The purpose of this research is to help and prevent very long processes in storing or searching for a document that is needed in a fast, precise, and detailed time. The data collection methods in this study are library research, interviews, observation, and documents. Based on the discussion of document archiving, the researcher hopes to help improve administrative performance in terms of the management of incoming and outgoing mail so that the process of archiving letters and letter searches becomes easier and faster.
