The Mail Filing Management Information System is designed as an effort to improve written administrative management at the Tirta Betuah Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) in Banyuasin Regency which is still using conventional techniques and often obstacles are caused by related officials carrying out external services. The solution that can be done is by using an analysis and design approach to information systems. This management information system was formed by applying the Rational Unified Process (RUP) software development life cycle and the Unified Modelling Language (UML) modelling concept in the system design process. The system interface design is designed using website media and programming languages as well as supporting database management, such as HTML and CSS in the front-end design of the system, along with the PHP programming language and MySQL DBMS which are packaged in a website development framework from the back-end side, and tested to find out how good a system is. Until finally able to build a new system in this case focusing on company administration.
