Analisa Kadar Dietanol Amina (DEA) dalam Larutan Benfield dengan Metode Spektrofotometer UV-Vis

CO2 gas in large quantities in the atmosphere will disrupt the environment, especially global warming. Benfield’s solution is a form of system in the form of a solution used to absorb and separate impurities gasses such as H2S gas and CO2 gas. Diethanolamine (DEA) is one of the inorganic materials added to Benfield’s solution which can bind CO2 gas. The formulation of the problem in this case study is how much DEA is needed for Benfield’s solution every week. The purpose and Benfield’s are to find out how much DEA is needed in Benfield’s solution every week. This study used a spectrophotometer method. The results of the percent research obtained were : DEA on august 1, 2022, 202 E (3.31%), 1102 E (2.05%), SL (1.64%) with an average (2-4%). As for DEA on august 4 2022, 202 E (2,88%), 1102 E (2,13%), SL (1,60%) with an average (2-4%). DEA on august 25 2022, 202 E (2,81%), 1102 E (2,03%), SL (1,64%) with an average (2-4%). DEA on august 29 2022, 202 E (2,97%), 1102 E (2,21%), SL (1,57%) with an average (2-4%). The conclusion from the results of the analysiscarried out on Benfield’s solution samples, it can be concluded that every week 2-4% Diethanolamine (DEA) levels are needed to meet the standards required by pusri 4BCO2 gas in large quantities in the atmosphere will disrupt the environment,especially global warming.
