Body odor is a problem experienced by everyone. One of the triggers for body odor is the emergence of bacteria such as Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Corynabacterium acne, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Streptococcus pyogenes. Discovery of sources of drugs from natural ingredients that have potential as antimicrobials is very important. Dragon fruit peel has antibacterial and antifungal properties, based on the results of phytochemical screening it is known that dragon fruit peel contains active compounds of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, steroids. The study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 10 treatments and 3 replications. A total of 8 treatments used ethanol extract of red dragon fruit skin with concentrations of 5% (v/v), 10% (v/v), 15% (v/v), 20% (v/v), 25% (v/v). ), 50% (v/v), 75% (v/v), 100% (v/v). While 2 more treatments served as controls, the positive control used 30 μg chloramphenicol while the negative control used sterile distilled water. The test isolate used was Staphylococcus epidermidis ATCC 12228.
