Letter is a communication tool used to convey written information from one party
to an-other. Letters are an important tool for any institution, including the Ar-Rahman Drug
Re-habilitation Center Foundation. This letter contains important or confidential information
about client or consumer data. The purpose of this research is to create an information system
that will facilitate the process of filing and processing of the required documents, namely the
bookkeeping of incoming and outgoing letters. Methods of data collection were carried out by
means of interviews, and observation. The results of this study are in the form of an information
system regarding the bookkeeping of incoming and outgoing mail using Java NetBeans and
MySql as a database. With this application, staff can streamline the time in filling out incoming
and outgoing mail and also make it easier for staff to find the required data by simply entering
the client's registration number, then the client's data will appear and can be printed if needed.
